Official Polo Organizations
United States Polo Association
The USPA is the main organization behind the sport of Polo in the United States. It is responsible to review and maintain official regulations and determine player ratings.
The USPA is headquartered in Wellington, Florida.
FIP – Federation of International Polo
“FIP (Federation of International Polo) is the international federation representing the sport of polo, officially recognized by the International Olympic Committee. Created in 1982 to enhance the image and status of the great game of polo internationally.” (Quoted: FIP website)
World Polo League
The World Polo League was created in 2019 in Wellington, Florida. Its intention was to host 26-Goal Tournaments, which were previously missing from the tournament line-up.
This added another dimension to the sport and continues to attract high-goal players, much to the delight of Polo enthusiasts.
Gay Polo League
According to their website, the Gay Polo League is the only LGBTQ Polo organization in the world. It advocates the inclusion of people who are lesbian, gay, bi-sexual or transgender through a common denominator: a passion for the sport of Polo.
The GPL’s headquarters are in Wellington, Florida.
American Polo Association
The American Polo Association is comprised of mainly players and supporters, with the goal to raise funds for charity. It also strives to make the sport more accessible to female players and minorities.
Its headquarters are in Newport Beach, California.

Polo Training Foundation
An organization to foster the development of young people who wish to become Polo players. This happens in various ways: the Florida Junior Program, the California Junior Program, college fairs, scholarships, clinics and foreign student exchanges.
The PTF operates from Loxahatchee Groves, Florida.
Polo Players Support Group
Dedicated to help seriously injured or ill players and grooms, the Polo Players Support Group offers financial assistance for those who would otherwise experience hardships.
It was founded in Wellington, Florida, where its offices are also located.
World Polo Tour
The World Polo Tour is an entity for player and tournament rankings on an international level. While a player’s handicap is determined by each individual country’s Polo association, the WPT creates a standard to measure world-wide rankings.
Their physical headquarters are located in Buenos Aires, Argentina.

Wellington Polo Tour
The WPT is a league created and hosted by the USPA. It currently offers three tournaments, all played on various Polo fields in Wellington.

Museum of Polo and Hall of Fame
Just like most other sports, Polo has its Hall of Fame, situated within a museum of well-curated Polo artifacts. These include trophies, images, documents, statistics, videos and memorabilia.
The Museum of Polo and Hall of Fame is located in Lake Worth, Florida.
