♥ Overview: Santa Rita Polo Farm has four playing fields. It is a part of Grand Champions Polo club that’s located further South, only a five minute drive away from GCPC.
♥ Tickets: No need for tickets. Games are FREE, even on Sundays. No seating is available, bring your own chairs.
♥ Tailgating: Tailgating spots are first come, first served. A few tents are available, but it is recommended that you protect yourself with sunscreen and/or hats or umbrellas. Bring your own chairs, food and drinks.
♥ Facilities: Restrooms are available only inside the barns. We recommend that you use your own powder room before you head out.
♥ Parking: There is plenty of FREE parking available. Just line up your car fieldside.
♥ Notes: Santa Rita is a beautiful and very well kept farm, but you’ll want to make sure you have protection from the sun and everything you may need during a game.
General rules and etiquette for Polo fans: Never leave your children unattended. Do not walk up to the horses, unless you have permission from staff. Polo Ponies are gentle and extrememly well trained, but they are not pets. Players are high performance athletes, and they need to focus before games. Do not approach them while they are getting ready. If you bring your dog for tailgating, keep it on a leash and do not let it run onto the fields while players and horses are on it. Keep the security clearance around the field. Make sure your trash is properly put away. Flying paper plates or napkins can spook a horse and pose a potential hazard. Polo attracts many celebrities. They want to watch the game and have a relaxing time. Do not approach or harass them. Do not walk through someone else’s tailgating spot, unless you’re invited in. Respect their space. Never enter the playing field while players and horses are present.
Enjoy the game and have fun! |
